Bringing Some Whimsy Back™
Finding Your Way Back To Expressing Yourself.
A gentle and reflective workshop exploring the connection between self-expression, confidence and the way we show up in the world.
When did I stop being me?
Can I ask you something? When was the last time you wore something simply because it made you happy?
Not because it was practical, or because it matched everything else, not because it was what you thought you should wear, but just because you loved it.
Life has a way of changing us. Our bodies change, our confidence changes, our responsibilities grow, we become busy looking after everyone and everything around us and somewhere along the way, many of us stop expressing ourselves.
There was a time when my wardrobe was almost entirely black, grey and white. At the time I thought I was being sensible, but looking back, I think I was out of alignment with myself. I was trying to fit in. My body had changed. My confidence had changed. And without even realising it, I had slowly stopped expressing myself.
Then life forced me to stop, giving me the space to ask some questions I had been avoiding for a while.
“When did I stop being me?”
Velvet, linen, denim, satin, patterns, jewel colours that made me smile, clothes that felt like me.
And that is what Bringing Some Whimsy Back™ is really about. Not fashion or trends or creating the perfect wardrobe. It is about rediscovering the parts of yourself that may have been sitting quietly in the background for far too long.
Sometimes when we say “I don’t know what to wear anymore”, what we are really saying is “I don’t quite feel like myself anymore”.
Together, we explore.
- The different versions of ourselves throughout life
- Why we stop expressing ourselves
- Confidence, visibility and being seen
- Life changes, body changes and self-acceptance
- Colour, texture and personal style
- Letting go of old rules and expectations
- Reconnecting with what feels authentic to us now
It is part conversation, part reflection, part permission slip and hopefully, a gentle reminder that you do not need to become someone new.
